The Blazek lab was established in 2012. The lab is part of the Molecular Medicine Program in the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC)-Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic.
Our research focuses mainly on transcriptional cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdks) and their role in regulation of eukaryotic transcription and genome stability. We also study deregulation of the Cdks in human diseases particularly in cancer. To address these questions we employ advanced techniques of molecular biology and biochemistry. To find more specific information about our research, please visit the research and publications sections of our web pages.
Positions for prospective BSc./MSc./PhD. students and postdocs are available. (We are always looking for talented and motivated BSc./MSc./PhD. students and postdocs. I encourage you to contact me at dalibor.blazek at ceitec.muni.cz in case you are interested in our ongoing projects or research topics in broader terms.)
