FA602 Biophysical aspects of structural biology
Students will be provided with overview of fundamental biophysical principles that used by cells to modulate biomolecular function. Particular attention is devoted to highlighting of:
- - relationships between biomolecular function and structure and environment
- - principles of intra- and intermolecular signalization and its modulation by environmental factors.
F5351 Basics of molecular biophysics
The course presents to the students basics of structure and function of biopolymers. To this end, the physical nature of intermolecular forces, which determine the properties of biopolymers, is lectured. Particular attention is devoted to the physical and chemical properties of a biomolecule with respect to its structural formula.
F5370 Biophysical labs by UFKL
This practical course is focused on protein expression and purification (cytochrome b5 and/or c). It is possible to express an alternative protein of student's choice; however, the student has to discuss this with the head of this course.
